Applix, a Westborough, Mass., maker of customer relationship management software, has
selected Neil Follett, founder of the Compact Group, to manage the company’s European operations.

He replaces Michael Scheib, a director of Applix who resigned from the company and will pursue other interests.

“Neil is a seasoned executive whose successes include building a multi-national, multi-million dollar software sales, service and consulting organization,” said Alan
Goldsworthy, Applix president and CEO. “He has a great breadth and depth of experience in European markets.”

Follett founded the Compact Group, an international IT software and services developer purchased by software firm Baan in 1998. Subsequently, he was European
vice president for the automotive division of Baan.

Prior to the Compact Group, he worked for Olivetti, first in European marketing and then as a regional manager. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a
postgraduate diploma in business management from the University of Columbia.
