apps4biz.com Partnership Enhances Content Delivery

Nov 28, 2001

apps4biz.com, the Andover, Mass.-based provider of Web-centric business applications for small manufacturers, today announced a strategic partnership with infrastructure firm Crystal Decisions.

The alliance will offer its small business customers the reporting technology provided buy Crystal Reports, Crystal Decision’s content delivery and integration application.

Under the agreement, apps4biz.com has embedded Crystal Reports Server Software within its apps4biz family of products, arguing that Crystal Reports complements the analytic capabilities of the apps4biz Executive Information System (EIS).

The firm says that together these tools can enable smaller organizations to easily extract business metrics information from apps4biz applications, analyze it and then distribute interactive reports easily inside and outside the company.

“We’ve spent two years working with Crystal Decisions to develop our tightly integrated solutions so we can successfully meet the rigorous standards of the business community,” says Peter Lopes, vice president of marketing for apps4biz.com. “We see tremendous decision-making benefits for our customers with these combined offerings.”

Using the integrated solutions, apps4biz says its customers will be able to create their own custom reports or access the library of standard reports that apps4biz delivers through its application suites.

Says Wyatt Mullin, director of business development for Crystal Decisions, “Our tools nicely complement apps4biz.com’s applications. Used in conjunction with the apps4biz EIS facility, the Crystal Decisions Web-based reporting capabilities enable customers to tap into their business data.”

“It enables them to distribute secure, interactive reports to their customers, employees and partners,” he continues.

Founded in 1999, apps4biz.com delivers vertical business applications to smaller companies with revenues of less than $50 million. The apps4biz product family includes General apps4biz, Manufacturing apps4biz, apps4biz Vertical Portfolios and the upcoming e-business apps4biz.

In addition to its operations in the U.S. and Switzerland, the company has facilities and offices throughout Europe.
