Kids need an ASP too, don’t they? Now there’s Clever Island, a new educational subscription-based website for children ages 3 to 8.

ALFY Inc., one of the premier websites for young children, designed and implemented Clever Island to provide pre-readers and young learners a fun way to learn fundamental math, reading and computer skills using educational games and activities.

Designed by teachers and evaluated by parents and children, Clever Island targets pre-readers and young learners through engaging sounds and animation. Clever Island proactively adapts to a child’s current skill level based upon the child’s age, yet allows the difficulty level of games and activities to be changed as the child masters new abilities.

“Basically, parents want to know two things — First, that the sites their kids visit are safe, and second, that the time spent online is both fun and productive — it shouldn’t be mindless,” said Yaron Ben-Shaul, CEO and founder of ALFY Inc. “We’re confident that once parents see for themselves the number of unique, fun and educational games and activities that are available on Clever Island, they — and their kids — will be hooked.”

Upcoming features include a special reporting system to enable parents the ability to track their children’s learning progress on the site. In addition to the games and activities already on the site, new ones are scheduled to be added on a regular basis. Parents can enroll up to three children per family for an annual fee of $39.95. The introduction of Clever Island will be supported by a comprehensive integrated viral and direct marketing campaign using both online and off-line media.
