Aspective, a U.K.-based ASP that specializes in sales, marketing and customer service applications, yesterday announced that it has exceeded it revenue expectations for the first half of 2002.
The company, which turned cash-positive at the end of last year, reports 2002 revenues to date of $15 million (£10 million).
“In one of the toughest markets anyone has known for technology companies, we are continuing to buck the industry trend. Aspective has not only performed to plan, but has exceeded all expectations for the first six months of 2002,” said Javaid Aziz, CEO, Aspective. “We have reorganized the business around our key focus areas: consulting, managed services and mobile enterprise solutions. I feel confident that we can maintain this level of momentum going forward.”
According to a company statement, a key area for growth in the second half of 2002 will come from its partnership with IBM. Through Big Blue’s WebSphere technology, Aspective will provide enterprise portal solutions for divisions of large corporates across Europe. Aspective says its goal is to provide customers, suppliers, partners and employees with access to business critical information through a Web browser format — regardless of location or device.
Another area of growth in 2002 and 2003, Aspective reports, is provisioning mobile enterprise solutions. The company expects growth to come from wireless enablement for front office sales and customer service personnel as well as from mobile workforce and field service management capabilities.
“In the current climate, we are facing increasingly sophisticated IT buyers, and that forces us to be more flexible, more customer-focused and more solutions-oriented than ever before,” said Aziz.
Aspective employs approximately 200 people in Europe. Its strategic partners include Siebel Systems, IBM, Sun Microsystems, Cable & Wireless, and BroadVision.
