Exceeding its expectations, and defying trends in the Application Service Provider (ASP) market, Aspective, a U.K.-based provider of eBusiness solutions, yesterday reported an annual turnover in 2001 of more than $24 million (GBP 17 million).
The company turned cash positive following record fourth quarter revenues in excess of $7 million (GBP $5 million).
“We achieved profitability six months earlier than planned and are now cash positive and very confident about the future,” said Javaid Aziz, CEO, Aspective.
“Aspective is in a strong position to move forward, with increased revenues and demand for our services continuing to grow. We will continue to strategically develop the business and build our client base of blue-chip companies,” he continued.
New customers in 2001 included: Irish Life, Heineken, Pirelli and The Law Society.
In 2002, Aspective plans to continue focusing on the financial services, life sciences and health care industries, as well as government departments and public service organizations, which it says recognize the value of customer and citizen relationship management.
The firm will continue to provide customers with several deployment options from consultancy and implementation to fully-managed, end-to-end hosted services.
Aspective’s technology announcements made in 2001 included the delivery of Siebel Wireless and Lotus Domino over mm02’s (previously BT Cellnet) GPRS network and the launch of Accelerate CRM, a Customer Relationship Management deployment programme that offers customers Siebel eBusiness applications.
“We continue to develop new technologies and broaden our product portfolio. Our focus in 2002 will be to continue to introduce several new products, the first of which will be to offer consulting services and outsourcing based around IBM WebSphere technology,” explained Aziz.
Going forward, Aspective says that despite the economic slow down, demand for its services remains strong. It expects to see continued growth in 2002 and anticipates a healthy level of demand for its outsourcing and consultancy services.
Employing over 200 people across Europe, Aspective specializes in ‘front office’ applications for sales, marketing and customer service.
Through its three divisions, Consultancy and Implementation Services, Managed Services and Mobile Enterprise Solutions, the firm develops, hosts, manages its services throughout the project lifecycle.
