Bizfinity Inc., a Web-based ASP that specializes in applications for small and medium businesses (SMBs), earlier this week announced the availability of BizfinityPro 7.0.
Version 7.0 features two new suites: Distribution Suite and Manufacturing Suite. The other suites in the BizfinityPro include e-Commerce, Back Office and Business.
Distribution Suite is designed for retailers, wholesalers, distributors and manufacturers with multiple locations or complex inventory.
Included in the suite is Distribution Manager, a new module that offers sales order processing, purchase order processing and inventory management for online and offline orders. Bizfinity reports that new or improved features include support for enhanced price matrix and item matrix (color, size and other variants), split shipment, drop shipment, multiple shipping addresses per order, back-order processing, volume processing and returns management.
Distribution Manager is also designed to allow customers to manage inventory in multiple locations as well as multiple inventory types, serial number tracking, units of measure and track inventory received and shipped by a serial number and/or a barcode.
Bizfinity describes Manufacturing Suite its “most complete and comprehensive solution.” It provides all the modules available in other suites with the addition Assemblies Manager. Assemblies Manager is designed to provide flexibility in configuring and managing assembled items and to provide real-time integration with BizfinityPro’s Order Manager and Distribution Manager.
Bizfinity said that subassemblies are handled at unlimited levels, and Assemblies Manager automatically calculates component availability to satisfy outstanding orders and updates component inventory as each item is built and shipped.
Assemblies Manager is designed to allow customers to select from an online list of components of build-to-order item such as a PC or bicycle and instantly see the final assembled price. BizfinityPro then feeds all online orders into the back office assembly, inventory, shipping and billing processes, which are included in the BizfinityPro Manufacturing Suite.
Distribution Suite and Manufacturing Suite, according to the company, are integrated with Bizfinity other modules, including Web Site Creator, Web Store Creator, Credit Card Manager, Sales Manager and Accounting Manager. Included in these modules are e-Commerce, customer relationship management, sales order Processing, purchase order processing inventory, and credit card processing.
