Looking to capitalize on a growing market, BrassRing, a Waltham, Mass., application service provider specializing in
recruitment software, has expanded in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
In addition to selling directly to customers on the continent, BrassRing will also run online job boards and technology career events.
“We are excited about expanding our presence in Europe and look forward to working with multi-national companies to help them recruit qualified candidates and
optimize their ‘talent relationship management’ processes,” said Deb Besemer, BrassRing’s president and CEO.
The e-recruiting services market is expected to grow to $4.5 billion by 2005, according to recent research from IDC.
“Western Europe is currently the second-largest market in the world for e-recruiting services. . . ,” said Christopher Boone, an IDC senior analyst. “To be
successful in this region, vendors need to provide services at a local level. This means an e-recruiting service provider needs to develop services that meet the local
market’s needs and establish its company and brand as one that customers can trust to deliver quality service.”
BrassRing is privately held and operates nine North American offices. The company’s investors include The Washington Post Company, Tribune Company, Gannett
Co., Inc., and Accel Partners.
