C Me Run Launches Internet-Appliance Partner Program
Chell.com emergent C Me Run Corporation yesterday announced the first four companies to join the Ready to Run program, the company’s effort to accelerate the adoption of Internet computing and appliances in the consumer market.
Coming on board are customer-driven networked computing devices developer Netier, Internet access provider New Internet Computing Company, interactive broadband set-top systems provider Stellar One and terminal and thin client computing company Wyse Technologies.
According to C Me Run Corporation, core elements of the Ready to Run program include device requirements, a product test plan and a joint marketing agreement.
Ready to Run also entails the testing of each Internet appliance to determine its compatibility with C Me Run’s service, giving customers the comfort that these Internet appliances will work out of the box with C Me Run’s services.
In related company news, Chell.com chairman and chief executive officer Cameron Chell yesterday announced that Jenelle Helt will join the senior management team as vice president, business development.
Helt, formerly a key member of the Interliant ASP team, will provide added experience and knowledge of the ASP industry with the goal of building key business relationships for Chell.com. During her time at Interliant as director of applications services, her main role was to develop the company’s ASP strategy.
“Janelle brings an important component to the Chell.com senior management team-that of a global view of the ASP industry,” Chell said. “”We will leverage Janelle’s solid industry relationships to grow our project companies within Chell.com, a strategy bank for the ASP industry.”
