ClickArray Networks Changes Name Adds New CEO

Web traffic management appliance maker ClickArray Networks is getting a makeover.

The Campbell, Calif.-based company Monday dropped the Click portion of its name (opting to now be known as Array Networks), and appointed Donald Massaro as its new president and CEO.

“Array Networks enticed me with the opportunity to grow the company into one of the Internet’s 800-pound gorillas,” said Massaro. “We are streamlining the Web’s infrastructure with an all-in-one platform that integrates essential, high-performance networking functions which formerly required a rack full of devices and produced a nightmare of shifting bottlenecks. Simplifying the Web’s underlying networks promises savings of hundreds of thousands of dollars to small and medium-sized businesses and hundreds of millions of dollars to enterprises and service providers whose businesses now rely on the Internet but are continually plagued by its growing complexity.”

Array Networks’ founder and former chief executive officer Lawrence Lu is expected to stay on with the company’s development team in his new position as chief technology officer and vice president of engineering.

Array Networks currently has more than 110 employees, opened offices in Europe and Asia Pacific, and raised $31.1 million in first round funding, co-led by H&Q Asia Pacific and U.S. Venture Partners.
