Companies to Offer Speedy Internet Access

Broadband Internet service company Online System Services Inc. (OSS) Tuesday signed
a five-year agreement to launch high-speed Internet access and Web services
with Peak Cablevision, a Denver-based cable operator.

Peak Cablevision serves about 114,000 customers in the Midwest
and Rocky Mountain regions. The value of the contract was not disclosed.
However, the companies did say the agreement includes revenue sharing.

Peak’s Oklahoma customers will be the first to see the new service. The
company also plans a prominent marketing campaign that will promote the new
service as a holiday gift.

“We are committed to an aggressive, long-term strategy to rollout
high-speed access and data services throughout our network,” said Scott M.
Fisher, vice president of corporate development of
Peak Cablevision. “Our offering will get us to market fast and keep us
there with a broad range of online products and services.”

said Steve Adams, president and CEO of OSS. “They recognize the tremendous
long-term potential of revenue streams driven by community, local content,
targeted marketing and video applications that fully utilize the broadband
capacity of the high-speed distribution channel they own.”
