Ikimbo Inc. has made a powerful friend in the business consulting sector, as the real-time communications product provider signs a distribution pact with Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Terms of the deal call for Deloitte & Touche will become a preferred integration services provider for Reston, Va.-based Ikimbo’s secure, real-time communication platform. With the alliance, Deloitte & Touche said it intends to dedicate full-time resources to build service offerings leveraging Ikimbo’s platform.
Using the Ikimbo technology as a foundation, Deloitte & Touche’s Real-Time Communications service offerings will include design, development, and deployment consulting for secured, real-time communication products targeted at improving the efficiency and reducing the cost within communication chain management. These service offerings will assist clients in implementing secure, real-time communication, centralized file sharing, and streamlined workflow in support of their strategic systems initiatives across a variety of devices including desktops, cell phones, Blackberry RIM, and other wireless PDAs.
Deloitte & Touche and Ikimbo are also working together to define adaptors to augment leading enterprise applications, such as SAP, J.D. Edwards, GE Fanuc, Peoplesoft, i2, Oracle, Siebel, and Manugistics, with real-time communication capabilities, officials said.
To further the alliance, Deloitte & Touche also plans to dedicate full-time resources from its Management Solutions & Services Consulting Group to develop service offerings inclusive of Omniprise implementations and Omniprise EAI adapter development. The companies will jointly market their respective products and services to the Global 1000.
“We see our relationship as providing a missing piece of the enterprise solutions puzzle for Global 1000 companies,” Ikimbo President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Edwin Miller said. “Together Ikimbo and Deloitte & Touche have the resources to provide powerful real-time communication solutions that weave together individuals, groups, companies, and applications.”
