e-StudioLive Hails New Chief

e-StudioLive, a Chelmsford, Mass., maker of Webcasting systems, has named Steve Crummey, who formerly
held the top job at Intranets.com, as CEO.

Crummey replaces Ken Swanton, who will become chairman of the company’s board of directors.

“Steve has joined several companies at the point where their technology is just coming into its own and seen them through to success,” Swanton said. “He has grown
companies for a living.”

Before intranets.com, a maker of Web-based corporate communications and collaboration platforms, Crummey held management posts at prominent Massachusetts
technology firms such as Lotus, Avid and PictureTel.

“For business communications, audio and slide shows are getting old,” Crummey said. “The next step is the live Internet experience.”

The privately held company was founded as EchoLab in 1971 to focus on the live video production market. It changed its name and extended its focus to Webcasting in 1999.

e-StudioLive has raised $12.3 million from Apex Investment Partners, Putnam Investments and others.
