Internet service provider EarthLink inked an agreement Monday
with computer retail chain CompUSA to
become the chain’s official ISP.

Under terms of the deal, EarthLink’s services will be offered via CompUSA’s
private-label computer systems and will be the default ISP during all
training courses administered by CompUSA. CompUSA will also promote
EarthLink’s services during a variety of special events.

“This exclusive deal is significant because it gives us prominent exposure
in one of the nation’s largest computer retailers — and it’s an
endorsement from one of the most respected names in this industry,” said
Garry Betty, president and chief executive officer of EarthLink.

“Our partnership with EarthLink supports our goal of being a total
solutions provider by allowing us to offer a proven Internet access
solution,” said James Halpin, president and chief executive officer of
CompUSA. “We are excited to offer our customers EarthLink’s world-class
Internet access service.”
