EarthLink, Discover Card in Online Service Deal

EarthLink Network Inc. has been tapped as the Internet service provider of choice for “Discover Connection,” a new online service from Discover Card.


Under the agreement, EarthLink and Discover Card said they will collaborate on the development and co-marketing of the online service which will offer exclusive features and promotions to Discover cardholders who
sign up for Earthlink’s TotalAccess Internet connection service.


The Discover Connection is available for a $19.95 monthly fee, providing unlimited access to Internet services. Features will include free e-mail, around the clock technical support, and 6 MB of free Web space. Discover cardmembers will also be able to view billing statements from the previous six months online.


New users signing up for Discover Connection are offered added incentives including additional mailboxes, customized content from Planet Direct, and a five percent Cashback Bonus Award from Discover Card.


The service will be marketed to cardholders via credit card billing inserts and on the Discover Card Web site.

popularity of products and services available on the Internet, our
agreement with Discover Card demonstrates a shared commitment to increase
EarthLink and Discover Card’s market leadership.”


Discover Card is issued by Morgan Stanley Dean Witter & Co.
