Entering the New Year with a promising business alliance, Frontera Corporation and BroadVision Inc. have announced an application service provider (ASP) partnership through which Frontera will build, host, and manage BroadVision applications for companies in a wide range of industries.
Details of the partnership have not yet been released, but according to BroadVision’s Vice President and General Manager Gino Padua, the deal with Frontera represents an opportunity for Global 2000 companies to take advantage of a hosted solution designed to help online businesses target personalized Internet content and strengthen customer relationships.
“The Internet is more than just a new marketing and communication channel,” said Padua. “Indeed, it is changing the way software is delivered. We intend to capitalize on that trend through the formation of ASP partnerships like this one with Frontera. Online businesses that adopt BroadVision’s software using Frontera’s ASP-based hosting solution can take advantage of lower costs and higher value, sophisticated technology, and quick response for their customers.”
The BroadVision applications Frontera will host include Business Commerce, an application that reduces channel management expenses and increases customer satisfaction and communication, and the Retail Commerce Suite, software that allows marketing and merchandising professionals to serve the most appropriate content for individual consumers.
“Our vision as an ASP is to host and manage the best customer-facing online business applications available in the marketplace today,” said Tim Cahill, chief executive officer of Frontera. “BroadVision is clearly one of the leaders in this software category and we are thrilled to be providing the BroadVision solution on a hosted basis. Frontera’s integrated and modular approach to its ASP operation offers leading online business companies the opportunity to leverage the benefits of a reliable, dependable, and scalable ASP solution with the capabilities of the superior BroadVision product line.”
