GiantBear Strikes Wireless Portal Deal in Puerto Rico

GiantBear, Inc., today announced its first push in Latin America with a deal
to provide wireless web portal services to Centennial Communications Corp.’s,
,
Puerto Rico subsidiary.

The wireless technology and applications service provider said it will host
the wireless web portal, which will be available to customers of Centennial’s
MobileWeb service. The announcement was made today at LatinVenture’s “Vamos
Wireless! 2001” conference in Coral Gables.

James Green, GiantBear’s chief executive office, said the deal is a step to
expanding the company’s wireless web carrier base beyond the continental U.S.
and into the Caribbean and Latin America.

Centennial de Puerto Rico has
approximately 210,000 wireless subscribers on the island.

Giant Bear, which is based in White
Plains, N.Y., has struck similar deals with other wireless carriers such as
Dobson Cellular and Price Communications.
