High-speed Internet cable services provider @Home Network today announced a multi-year agreement with The SABRE Group under which Travelocity becomes the exclusive travel services provider for the @Home service.

The alliance will offer @Home’s high-bandwidth network users travel information on schedules, packages, and rates, and will allow them to make reservations for car, air, and hotel services.

“Over the last year, consumers have spent over $827 million on travel via
the Web. Travel represents one of the largest transactional opportunities
that exist on the Web today,” said Charles Moldow, vice president, media
development for @Home Network. “Leveraging @Home’s speed and integration of
Travelocity content, users will find the travel research and reservation
process to be much faster and more convenient than traditional methods.”

@Home said it plans to anchor Travelocity in its upcoming Travel Channel, and will feature the resource in its Shopping Channel, search engine, and via content links throughout the network.

Redwood City, CA-based @Home provides high-speed Internet access through a
cable hybrid-fiber coaxial infrastructure. The company currently has
affiliate agreements with Tele-Communications Inc., Cablevision Systems
Corp., Comcast Corporation, Cox Communications, Intermedia
Partners, Marcus Cable, Rogers Cablesystems Limited, and Shaw Communications.

“This agreement with @Home exemplifies our commitment to new technologies
that are beneficial for consumers,” said Terry Jones, chief information
officer of The SABRE Group. “As the exclusive travel-booking provider,
Travelocity will be able to take advantage of @Home’s high speed access and
provide travelers with a quick and easy way to make their travel plans.”
