Infinium ASP Partners with Skillset Software

Infinium ASP and workforce and recruitment management solutions provider Skillset Software this week announced a strategic alliance to deliver Skillset’s Employment Exchange application through Infinium’s data center.

Through this partnership, the companies’ customers will be provided with management, support and access to tailored, vertical industry-specific collaborative workforce and recruitment solutions in a remotely hosted environment.

Skillset’s Employee Exchange links a corporation’s recruiting staff, hiring managers, employees, applicants and partners, offering a competitive edge by helping hire, deploy and retain staff.

Infinium ASP , a division of Infinium Software Company, is looking to quickly diversify into new opportunities and business partnerships that are outside of Infinium, hence its latest partnership.

“We’ve created a partnership program for vendors who have technology that is complementary to the Infinium offering,” Ellen Ohlenbusch, vice president, business development, said.

Including Skillset, there are approximately 15 partners in the program.

Ohlenbusch told ASP-News that the company will be announcing additional partnerships in the next two to three weeks.

Infinium’s target can be broken into five vertical segments–process manufacturing, hospitality gaming, transportation, healthcare and retail.

“We are looking for mid to large sized companies with robust, dynamic needs,” Maria Burud, general manager, ASP business, explained. “Our focus is not a dotcom startup. We focus on real companies with real customers and real money.”

Burud described the benefits Infinium provides to customers to ASP-News. “We are an ASP with infrastructure. We own our data center. There is no passing along of SLAs. We work directly with the customer and can tailor, not customize, our apps.”

Implementation time for an application ranges from 60 to 90 days. Infinium bases its pricing model on a per user per month basis, but couldn’t get more specific than saying that it offers various tiers of services.

The partnership with Skillset Software marks Infinium’s first third party application and Skillset’s second go in the ASP arena.

Skillset had a product that was hosted by Interliant in September 1998.

Don Darrah, founder and vice president, Skillset, told ASP-News, ” Interliant didn’t move fast enough for us so we abandoned that project. We are coming back to the ASP route now with Infinium.”

Darrah believes that Infinium is a natural fit for Skillset when focusing on the ASP delivery model, and has been a good partner for over a year in other directions.

“Skillset and Infinium have integrated their software solutions and can now provide highly-integrated solutions in an ASP model which no one else can do,” Darrah explained.
