Content infrastructure software maker Interwoven says it is putting the finishing touches on streamlining the corporate portal for online legal and business information site LexisNexis.
Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Interwoven says with its XML-based software in place, LexisNexis employees can now post content on their own terms, using familiar office tools, to provide more accurate and timely information to site visitors.
LexisNexis, which has been around since the early days of the Internet, had been running its own corporate site. But, with employees throughout the world, the company says it recognized the need to extend contribution to subject matter experts.
“As a leading provider of online legal and business information, it was vital that we have a content infrastructure for our corporate Website that allows marketing services employees to easily add content to the site,” says LexisNexis director of eServices Pavan Mediratta. “Interwoven’s content infrastructure allows us to post timely, relevant content on its corporate Website while using applications that employees are comfortable with.”
Interwoven says its software is a plus for administrators who need to sync the content no matter what skill level they are at and allows contributors to use applications that they are familiar with such as Microsoft Office or e-mail.
“As a powerhouse in online legal and general business information, LexisNexis consistently provides up-to-date and accurate information about its products and services to its customers via their Website,” says Interwoven senior vice president of marketing Joe Ruck. “Interwoven’s software helps LexisNexis provide current, reliable information by allowing the company to post and update information on their site quickly, easily and confidently.”
