Customer relationship management (CRM) firm iXL (Nasdaq: IIXL) Wednesday says it has inked a deal with chip making giant Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) designed for e-Business retailers and manufacturers.
The result is “Retail & Consumer Goods Solution” platform, a collaboration done at Intel’s Solution Center located at iXL headquarters in Atlanta. Executives say the platform will provide a secure Web interface to manage marketing and customer information, supply chain functions, merchandising, in-store execution, product ordering capabilities and online assistance.
“By using the Internet to integrate software and process solutions across companies, iXL and its collaborators can deliver significant additional cost and time savings,” said David Friedman, global managing partner of iXL’s Retail and Consumer Goods Practice.
The hardware and software packages were developed to run extremely well on Intel-based systems provided by OEMs including Intel Xeon and Pentium 4 processors.
iXL says it will take care of stetting up the package at customer sites with support and co-marketing assistance from Intel and the other companies involved in the package.
Since the platform is customized to fit a business’s needs, the cost will vary depending upon customer needs.
