Corio Inc., a San Carlos, Calif.-based enterprise ASP, today announced that The NASDAQ Stock Market Inc., will use Corio’s OnSite delivery model to manage select applications.

Announced in March, Corio’s OnSite service is deployed within a company’s existing infrastructure, while Corio implements and manages the application, database and integration services, and provides application and database monitoring (see Corio Adds New Delivery Models).

Unlike a traditional ASP implementation, NASDAQ will host the application itself to take advantage of their existing investment in infrastructure. According to the companies, NASDAQ will manage the operating system layers and physical infrastructure. Corio will manage financial, human resources and payroll application and provide support for end-users.

“Corio will assist us in operating and monitoring these systems, allowing our team to remain focused on NASDAQ’s core business systems, including our next-generation trading system SuperMontage, which will go live in October,” said Steve Randich, executive vice president and chief information officer, NASDAQ.

“NASDAQ operates at the highest standards of operational excellence for IT systems. We are delighted to be part of their team,” said John Ottman, executive vice president of Worldwide Markets for Corio.

Corio is listed by ASPnews as a Top 20 Service Provider.
