Road Runner and Stream International Inc.
Monday formed a strategic alliance that will have Stream providing technical support services to customers the cable Internet provider.
Stream will support Road Runner’s cable modem
customers, optimize their set-up and resolve technical issues including
connectivity and interoperability.
Road Runner is a privately-held joint venture among affiliates of Time Warner Inc., MediaOne Group Inc., Microsoft Corp., Compaq Corp. and Advance/Newhouse.
“We selected Stream as our outsource technical support partner because
their vision of the future of technical support services and customer care
is in close alignment with ours,” said David Temlak, Road Runner’s vice
president of customer care.

Stephen Moore, Stream’s chief executive officer.

Stream International maintains technical support services from 11 call
centers located in the US, Europe and Japan. According to Stream, more
than 5,000 support professionals resolve more than 20 million technical issues a year.
