Online CRM service provider, salesforce.com, continues its globalization efforts with the introduction of German and Japanese language versions with plans to deliver Swedish and Spanish counterparts in the next six months.
Salesforce.com already made significant inroads into the foreign markets with 300+ customers in Europe and 200 customers in Japan. “We have gotten a fantastic reception from European customers, having already launched in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Scandinavia, and our Japanese customers are equally enthusiastic,” stated John Appleby, senior vice president and managing director of EMEA of salesforce.com. “Salesforce.com already has 50 customers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and this native-language German release will significantly boost our penetration of these markets.”
The expansion into foreign markets will help position salesforce.com as a worldwide provider of Web-based CRM solutions that are unencumbered by high implementation and maintenance costs.
San Francisco-based salesforce.com currently provides online support to 3,800 global customers including Adobe Systems, Amdahl IT Services, Autodesk, Dow Jones Newswires, Eagle Global Logistics, Fujitsu Computer Products of American, Le Meridien, Paymentech, PMI Mortgage Insurance, Putnam Lovell Securities, Siemens PT&D, Sigma-Tau Pharmaceuticals, Thomas Cook Global Services, Textron Fastening Systems, USA Today and Wachovia.
