SilverBack Technologies, a Billerica, Mass., provider of infrastructure monitoring software and services, has named two
vice presidents: Christine Washburn, marketing; and James Hare, business development.
“As our IT monitoring software and service continues to evolve, their proven ability to lead and execute global marketing and business development programs prime
SilverBack for continued success,” said Dan Phillips, chairman and CEO.
Washburn has 15 years of high-tech marketing experience. Prior to joining SilverBack, she developed and led marketing strategies for Mazu Networks. Before
Mazu, she led Concord Communications’ branding initiative and played a key role in its 1997 IPO.
Washburn has also held various marketing, international and channel positions at Chipcom and Microcom. She began her career in politics, serving as a legislative
assistant and later press secretary to the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Telecommunications and Finance.
Hare joins from METRObility, a provider of intelligent, carrier-class optical Ethernet solutions, where he was vice president of sales and service for the optical
networker. Before METRObility, Hare held executive sales positions and contributed to the successful IPOs of both Orchestream and Concord Communications.
