Trellix Brings Publishing Platform Overseas

Following its strategy to aggressively target what it describes as “the rapidly growing European small business and consumer Web publishing markets,” private-label Web-site building ASP Trellix Corp. today announced that it has signed an agreement with Host Europe PLC.

Host Europe’s services include shared server hosting, dedicated servers, managed services, server co-location and domain name registration. It plans to incorporate the Concord, Mass.-based Trellix’s publishing platform for use in its 123-reg.co.uk domain name registration service. Host Europe reports that it manages more than 300,000 domain names and also hosts more than 3,500 dedicated and co-located servers and 65,000 virtual servers for more than 60,000 customers.

“We are seeing significant growth in the number of sites being launched in Europe by mainstream small businesses,” said Don Bulens, Trellix president and CEO. “During the past year, Trellix has made tremendous inroads in the U.S. market in securing distribution agreements with major small business providers. Our agreement with Host Europe reinforces that our Web-publishing platform is also ideally suited for the European small business market.”

“Trellix’s suite of publishing products will allow us to launch a high-quality Web site building service that will bring great additional value to our customers,” said Frank Rejwan, chief operating officer of Host Europe. “The Trellix Platform will enable both small businesses and consumers to set up, design and maintain a high-quality Web presence at a low cost.”

Trellix is listed by ASPnews as a Top 30 Enabler.
