WebSurfer Adds SPRYNET for Internet Access

WebSurfer, developer of Internet
set-top technologies, announced an agreement with Internet Service Provider
SPRYNET Inc., in which it will bundle
the ISP’s Net access services with its set-top devices.


The WebSurfer TV set-top box enables users to surf the Internet, send and
receive e-mail, create Web pages, and play online games through their
television sets. It comes with a wireless keyboard and infrared remote
control at no extra cost.


The Intel-powered WebSurfer also features Internet telephony capabilities,
enabling users to place a long distance call to any location throughout the
world without incurring long distance charges.

WebSurfer,” stated Stuart White, vice president and general manager of
SPRYNET.


“The combination of WebSurfer and SPRYNET will ensure a win/win solution
for customers wanting reliable, affordable Internet access through a
