Another Blow for Palm’s Pre, Pixi

Despite the accolades Palm won for its Pre smartphone upon its debut, the mobile device pioneer continues finding that competing in the fierce wireless sector remains a struggle. Its efforts won’t be helped by the fact that Palm’s two Sprint devices are no longer appearing on the store shelves of RadioShack, a major national retailer.

Enterprise Mobile Today takes a look at the reasons that customers won’t be able to find the Pre or Pixi at “The Shack,” and what it means for the mobile device player going forward.




The bad news just keeps coming for Palm, as carrier Sprint has confirmed that one of its major retailers, RadioShack, is dropping the Pre and Pixi phones in favor of newer models from other vendors.


It’s the latest in a string of negative developments for the smartphone vendor, struggling to stay afloat as its sales decline.
