Dell’s Streak Android-based tablet PC goes on sale later this week Source: Dell |
Dell is just days away from launching its new Streak tablet PC — a move that will see it competing with Apple’s popular iPad device. For its part, Dell is betting that features like front-and-rear cameras and access to the Android Marketplace will help tip the scales in its favor. Of course, to top Apple’s blockbuster sales of its own tablet, which has tallied more than 3.3 million units sold since the iPad hit store shelves three months ago, Dell will have its work cut out for it. Enterprise Mobile Today takes a look at what it’s offering with the Streak.
Dell’s answer to the Apple iPad, the Streak tablet, will go on sale this week with a sticker price of $299.99 for customers who sign on with AT&T Wireless for two years and $549.99 without, according to a post on the company’s Direct2Dell blog.
However, the $549.99 version won’t be unlocked, which would enable it to be used on other carriers, Dell has said.
