Mobile Editing Coming for Google Docs

Android and Apple iOS users will soon enjoy some added functionality on their mobile devices. Google has confirmed plans to begin rolling out a new documents editor for its Google Docs applications optimized for mobile browsers on the popular operating systems.

The move, though not unexpected, comes amid Google’s ongoing efforts to build out both its mobile business and productivity suite. Enterprise Mobile Today has the story.


Search giant Google has developed a version of its Docs productivity applications for mobile devices, promising users the ability to edit and collaborate on documents and spreadsheets on the go.

Over the next few days, Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) plans to roll out a new document editor optimized for mobile browsers running on its own Android operating system and rival Apple’s (NASDAQ: AAPL) iOS.
