BVRP Expands In Asia

BVRP software, a publisher and distributor of software programs for small businesses, is building a bigger channel in Asia.

The company said the new Asian business units will be in Seoul, South Korea as well as Shanghai, China.

BVRP already had a research and development operation in Shanghai which will be strengthened and expanded as part of BVRP China. The Shanghai office according to BVRP now numbers 30 software developers.

The expansion in Asia is being undertaken to further service BVRP’s relationship with Asian productions facilities. Back in January, Motorola Japan and BVRP announced that Mobile Phone Tools would be bundled for Vodaphone customers in that country. Last week, BVRP also announced that it had entered into an agreement with Kyocera to bundle Mobile Phone Tools with Kyocera’s phones as well.

Roger Politis, BVRP co-founder and managing director, said bringing the company’s China research and development center online would strengthen ties with manufacturers in mainland China, Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan. “The proximity to our current and future partners of our R&D centre and our two business subsidiaries based in Shanghai and Seoul enables us to ensure quality to our current and future partners.”

Beyond Mobile Phone Tools, BVRP last month entered into an agreement to acquire V Communications. The acquisition provided BVRP with a portfolio of software utilities including Fix-It Utilities, Partition Commander PowerDesk, Web Easy and SystemSuite.
