ExperTelligence Inc. Monday announced WebData, its comprehensive database-only Internet portal. ExperTelligence also announced the WebData Network, a link exchange service which utilizes a query-based banner ad exchange.

Unlike the major search engines such as Yahoo!, Infoseek and Excite, which index text only, WebData.com uses a proprietary intelligent agent and HTML parsing technology which collects, organizes and creates relationships between searchable databases. ExperTelligence believes this technology will enable users to find an appropriate database immediately.

The WebData Network is the industry’s first link exchange for Web databases. The Network features the industry’s only interactive query-based banner ads. When a user clicks a banner, it takes the user to the results by using an embedded form in the ad. This results in a high click-through ratio.
