Freshwater Introduces Site Monitoring Service

Oct 20, 1999

Internet administration software developer Freshwater Software Wednesday rolled out a subscription-based monitoring service and turnkey management solution dubbed SiteReliance.

The service monitors and manages both internal and outsourced Web environments at network, server and application levels and works both within and outside of a firewall to track site performance.

The tracking solution is intended to measure and optimize site performance and reliability, thus preventing downtime and limited site availability, as well as providing the capacity for maximum revenue generation.

The company is promoting the new service as a means to prepare for the expected holiday e-commerce rush.

The subscription includes onsite consultant evaluation and implementation, monitoring services from inside and outside the corporate network, error notification and automated script recovery execution. Company-specific reports and review meetings are part of the customization process for each company.

The monitoring service also tracks transaction processes to verify proper execution.

SiteReliance software runs on Microsoft Windows NT, Sun Solaris and Silicon Graphics IRIX. Pricing is customized for each company.
