Internet portal company Go2Net Inc.
(GNET), and Primecom Inc., publisher of QuickSite Web design software, have agreed to provide free Web hosting services to Primecom’s small business
customers on Go2Net’s HyperMart
Network.
The HyperMart Network is an Internet community of more than 800,000 small
businesses for which HyperMart provides an online presence. HyperMart also
provides a suite of services designed for e-businesses.
The cornerstone of HyperMart’s offerings is its free hosting service that
enables small businesses to publish their sites on the Internet with a free
Web site name or with direct access to virtual domain name registration.

member Web sites also receive free registration on popular search engines,
advertising buying programs, and valuable statistical information about
their Web site visitors to help drive traffic to their sites. In addition,
members have access to the HyperMart Small Business Center, a resource area
of products and services designed to help small businesses run more
efficiently. HyperMart also provides 24/7 customer support.
Starting March 15, small businesses that create Web sites using
Primecom’s QuickSite software will be able to launch their sites on the
Internet for free using HyperMart’s hosting services. In February, new
QuickSite customers will receive in-box coupons directing them to
HyperMart’s hosting services. After installing the software and creating
their Web sites, QuickSite users will be directed to HyperMart’s site from
within the software program.
QuickSite is targeted to all levels of users so that they can quickly
produce professional-looking Web sites. The product features a library of
customizable, predesigned Web site templates to enable small businesses to
create commerce-ready sites. The library includes an automated shopping cart
feature for easy customer ordering and links to transact credit card
payments through a secure server online. With HyperMart’s free hosting, new
QuickSite users can launch their Web sites once they are designed.
QuickSite software titles are available on CD-ROM for Windows, and can be
purchased directly from QuickSite or at software retail outlets throughout
the United States.
