‘Massive’ Windows Phone 7 Update in the Works?

The first round of Windows Phone 7 devices are barely out the door and already the rumor mill is kicking up a lot of speculation as to what’s next.

As Enterprise Mobile Today reports, a third party Windows Phone 7 developer claims the software giant has big plans for the mobile platform in an update set to be released early next year. There was other Windows Phone 7 news too as the first tool to “jailbreak” the device was released and, separately, Microsoft itself announced new Windows Phone 7 developer tools

tool for unlocking Windows Phone 7 applications tweeted this week that Microsoft is readying a

massive

update to the phone

s operating system for release early next year.


How massive? “Let’s just say they could have called it Windows Phone 8,” said one of the tweets by Chris Walsh, who along with two other well-known bloggers recently released the ChevronWP7 jailbreaking tool.
