Microsoft Corp. (MSFT)
has selected Mercury Interactive’s automated software testing tools to
assure the scalability and reliability of the Microsoft’s Windows 2000
operating system.

Microsoft chose Mercury Interactive’s WinRunner, for functional and
regression testing; LoadRunner, to verify that the operating system would
perform as expected under a heavy load; and TestDirector, to plan and manage
the entire testing process.

Microsoft has also employed these solutions to test more than 200 popular
applications from such vendors as SAP, IBM/Lotus, J.D. Edwards, Siebel, and
PeopleSoft to evaluate their compatibility and interoperability with Windows
2000.

“Our customers expect Windows 2000 to be the highest-quality, most
reliable platform on which to run their Internet-enabled businesses,” said
Keith White, director, Windows marketing, Microsoft. In an attempt to
achieve this, Microsoft chose Mercury Interactive’s products for their
“highly integrated, flexible, and easy-to-use testing solution to stretch
the product to its limits.”

Mercury Interactive (MERQ)
develops Internet application testing solutions. The company offers a
comprehensive line of automated testing tools and application performance
management products that improve the scalability, availability and
reliability of Internet applications and attempt to help ensure a positive
end user experience. Other products offered by Mercury Interactive are
