Sonic Foundry Inc. Thursday released Viscosity, its pixel-based, 2D-animation software
application that combines the image editing and animation by fully
integrating individual frame editing, animation effects, web optimization,
and real-time playback.

The new animation tool facilitates the creation of compelling animated web
images including banners, buttons, bullets, rollover effects, and dynamic
clip art. Viscosity also provides precise conversion and optimization
options in GIF, JPG, and AVI formats. Additionally, the software fully
integrates real-time video, image, and animation processes, enabling
developers to seamlessly edit any frame of an animation or video sequence.

Viscosity works with any video digital editing system as well as other
Sonic Foundry applications including ACID, Sound Forge, Vegas, and Stream
Anywhere for a complete multimedia content creation solution. The new tool
sells for a retail price of $199 and is available exclusively in
downloadable format from the Sonic Foundry Web site.
