StarNine Releases Webstar Server Suite 4.0 Beta

StarNine Technologies Inc. this week
released the public beta version of its WebSTAR Server Suite 4.0.


This release comes as a major upgrade to StarNine’s WebSTAR suite of integrated Internet server software. New features include:


  • A dramatically faster Web server
  • A new SMTP/POP/IMAP email server with LDAP and remote Web-based email
  • Lasso-based FileMaker Pro and ODBC database publishing capabilities
  • Integrated SSLv2 and SSLv3 with support for multiple certificates, IP addresses and encryption
  • Dozens of other improvements to the core WebSTAR servers and plug-ins

The full release of WebSTAR Server Suite 4.0 is scheduled to ship in June.
Existing WebSTAR 3.x customers can upgrade to WebSTAR Server Suite 4.0 for $199, with the full release priced at $599. Customers who purchased WebSTAR 3.x after April 1, 1999 will be able to download a free upgrade to WebSTAR Server Suite 4.0.
