Viewlocity this week
released XML Connector, a product designed to provide easy access to and
open exchange of business messages.

XML Connector will enable enterprises to take full advantage of Web-based
collaboration opportunities and form dynamic trading communities, according
to a statement issued yesterday by Viewlocity. The product will help
customers leverage their existing investments in EDI while migrating them to
XML. It will also allow Viewlocity to leverage its leadership in providing
business-to-business connectivity across complex supply chains.

Viewlocity products leverage XML to provide flexible support for the
diverse variety of information (e.g., orders, product design information,
forecasts and production schedules) and key capabilities, like graphical
tools to edit and view business objects, shared among trading partners.

Viewlocity also offers its Connector Development Platform development for
customers, partners and system integrators to develop a variety of
connectors to meet specific application requirements. Connector Development
Platform was created from the development framework of Viewlocity’s
flagship product, AMTrix. It is a tool used for rapid, reliable integration
between applications, supply chain packages, legacy systems and trading
partner systems. Connector Development Platform also integrates multiple
hardware databases and communications environments.

AMTrix claims more than 3,200 installations worldwide.

Viewlocity is a global leader in providing supply chain integration and
synchronization for e-business. The company is funded by Frontec, a leading
European IT firm, and Battery Ventures, a Massachusetts-based venture
capital firm. Viewlocity markets its products and services in more than 50
countries through its direct sales organization and a global network of
integration partners.
