Xeround, which develops a multi-tenant cloud version of MySQL, now has an autoscaling solution to help meet the challenges of unpredictable demand.
Razi Sharir, CEO of Xeround, noted that many cloud providers already provide scaling for applications by adding additional servers and load balancers.
“In contrast, scaling the database in the cloud is much more difficult because of the cloud’s stateless environment, and is potentially risky as it can cause a temporary denial of service,” Sharir said in a statement. “Xeround’s automatic scaling is a major step forward in simplifying the way databases are managed in the cloud.”
