3M Wednesday expanded an existing agreement with network infrastructure software developer Inktomi Corp. , under
which Inktomi will deliver multilingual enterprise search across 3M’s global network.

3M has already deployed Inktomi Enterprise Search across its intranet and corporate Web site.

“The expanded deployment of Inktomi Enterprise Search within our existing customer base is a testament to the benefits our
technology delivers to large global enterprises,” said Troy Toman, vice president and general manager, Inktomi Search Solutions.

The deal will give 3M customers in nearly 200 countries the ability to search 3M’s network in their own languages. Inktomi’s
Enterprise Search offers multilingual document recognition as well as full linguistic analysis and localized user interface options
in most major world languages.
