ChannelManager 2.0 Beta Now Available

DataChannel introduced
ChannelManager 2.0 Beta today, the latest release of the company’s
client/server solution for enterprise knowledge distribution.


ChannelManager is designed to provide corporations with a tool that
integrates legacy databases, document management systems, newsfeeds, PC
applications, and e-mail into a functional intranet.


The new Beta version features multiple clients to meet the varying needs of
different desktop users; e-mail notification; Open API for simplified
content integration and customization; a “What’s New” channel that provides
a running history of news updates across all channels; and automatic
employee directory importing.


“DataChannel is able to combine the power of XML, the next-generation
distributed computing platform, with our flagship product, ChannelManager,
to offer corporations a viable information management solution,” said David
Pool, CEO of DataChannel, in a statement.


ChannelManager 2.0 Beta, supporting Microsoft NT Server and the IIS Web
server, is now available for free download.
