IntraNet Solutions,
Inc. today introduced its Intra.doc! Legacy product
line of paper-to-Web scanning solutions to include versions for the
workgroup and enterprise.
The first Intra.doc! product, Legacy for the desktop, launched in 1997,
and incorporates Adobe Capture technology. The new The Intra.doc!
Legacy line allows businesses to easily move paper-based documents into an
Intra.doc!Management System (MS) for immediate access across the enterprise.
Intra.doc! Legacy Workgroup and Enterprise uses Kofax Ascent Capture
scanning technology from Kofax Image Products with Intra.doc! These
products will be featured this week at the Fall Internet World ’98 at the
Jacob K. Javits Center in New York from Oct. 7-9, 1998
in booth number 180.
Intra.doc! Management System uses Java server-based architecture designed
specifically for the Web, enabling companies to build secure
business libraries with check-in and check-out, revision control and
automated publishing in Web-ready formats.
The software allows users to view various document types in original
format, and uses Adobe’s portable document format (PDF) technology so that
a client does not have to run the native application in order to view the
document as it was authored. The system also
automatically generates hypertext markup language (HTML) links to content,
provides a full-text index of the Web site and
allows simultaneous access to multiple server repositories.
In addition, Intra.doc! Legacy desktop, workgroup and enterprise solutions
automatically convert images and paper-based documents to
Web-ready PDF files that can be published, accessed and maintained in an
Intra.doc! Web repository. The Intra.doc! Legacy
scanning solution gives users a single, compact, fully searchable file that
looks exactly like the original printed document.
Intra.doc! Legacy Desktop pricing starts at $2,500, Intra.doc! Legacy
Workgroup starts at $5,800 and the Intra.doc! Management System begins at
$17,995. For additional information and pricing, see the company’s Web site.
“Our Intra.doc! Legacy paper-to-Web solutions now address the needs of
individual users, workgroups and the enterprise
with a mix of scanning technology that fits the diverse needs of
organizations for rapid scanning and powerful management of
documents on a Web site,” said Vern Hanzlik, vice president of product
marketing at IntraNet Solutions, Inc.
