Free intranet service Intranets.com Tuesday announced strategic partnerships with NewsEdge Corp., Digital River, GoTo.com and Stockpoint to deliver online business services and content.

With the partnerships, Intranets.com plans to offer comprehensive, customizable applications for intranet customers.

NewsEdge will offer customized industry-specific news, and Stockpoint signed on to build a personal
finance area that features portfolios, stock quotes, mutual fund data and company profiles.
GoTo.com will integrate its Web search into Intranets.com suite of applications with the intent of generating more targeted banner impressions, said Jeffrey Brewer, CEO of GoTo.com.

“Intranets.com member employees will benefit from GoTo.com search because they will be able to find the Web sites that most interest them without leaving their intranet,” said Brewer. “We’re excited for the opportunity to extend our brand to this audience.”

The company also unveiled its new IntranetsRewards program which rewards Intranets.com customers who direct customers to Intranets.com through their own intranet. Digital River will host the Intranets.com
Software Store, providing more than 100,000 downloadable and packaged software applications and digital products.
