ISS Wants to Simplify Network Security

Aiming to ease security implementation for large
networks, Internet Security Systems Monday
released a new decision-support application, Decisions 1.0.


The program is designed to provide customers with the power to make quick,
informed decisions for ongoing information protection. It automates the
collection, integration, analysis and reporting of enterprise-wide security
information from multiple sources and locations. It features risk
management reporting, customized reports and management from a central
location,


Decisions is part of the SMARTsuite product line offered by ISS for
comprehensive network security. The company recently updated SMARTsuite’s
other components, Internet Scanner and RealSecure.


“ISS has continued its pioneering efforts in providing customer’s with a
centralized security control system that can independently monitor and
analyze the rapidly changing conditions of today’s complex enterprise
networks,” said Mike Lortz, product manager of ISS’ SAFEsuite Enterprise
family of products.


“By measuring security across different systems and security safeguards,
SAFEsuite Decisions enables customers to leverage years of ISS’ security
expertise to automatically correlate seemingly unrelated data into
valuable, actionable security information.”


SAFEsuite Decisions 1.0 is available now to customers worldwide and has a
starting U.S. suggested list price of $25,000, based upon the size of a
customer’s protected network.
