Netscape Communications Corp.
announced Netscape SuiteSpot 3.5 this week, the company’s server software
designed for businesses deploying large-scale intranets and global Extranets.
Netscape reports that SuiteSpot 3.5 features enhanced scalability, support
for international and roaming users, and integrated high-performance
directory services aimed at reducing total cost of ownership.
The company is billing the server software suite as the first to deliver
support for the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) version 3
Internet standard, allowing customers to store and manage international
users’ directory information in over 35 languages. The latest version of
SuiteSpot also comes with Netscape Communicator client software.
Netscape SuiteSpot Standard Edition, priced at $82 per user, includes
Netscape Enterprise Server, Netscape Messaging Server, Netscape Collabra
Server, Netscape Calendar Server, Netscape Directory Server, and Netscape
Communicator Standard Edition.
Netscape SuiteSpot Professional Edition, priced at $140 per user, includes
the above plus Netscape Communicator Professional Edition, Netscape
Compass Server, Netscape Proxy Server, Netscape Certificate Server, and
Netscape Mission Control Desktop.

the Server Product Division at Netscape, in a statement this week.
