Plumtree
Software
Monday released an updated version of its intranet utility,
Plumtree Server.

Version 2.0 is made to allow intranet access to documents and databases via
a corporate portal-type hierarchy. Content from Lotus Notes and Microsoft
Exchange databases, as well as data warehousing reports from Cognos
PowerPlay and Informix-MetaCube On-Line Analytical Processing applications
will be available. Also, the server features support for organizing portal
access to newsgroup postings and company experts.

This latest version has improved security, offering organizations granular
control over Web access to sensitive content and ensuring that users
searching the portal are denied access to restricted content.

“Our recent sales success and customer satisfaction testifies to the
importance of the capabilities new to this release of the Plumtree Server,”
said John Kunze, Plumtree’s chief executive officer.

“As the corporate portal market matures, (we) can maintain market
leadership by providing the highest possible levels of customer support and
by continuously advancing and adapting technologies to address specific
customer problems in our target industries.”

New customers using the server include Dun & Bradstreet, ADP’s AG
Consulting, Level 3 Communications and SCT.
