[Sydney, AUSTRALIA] ASX-listed sex retailer AdultShop.com has launched its U.S. Web site, www.adultshop.com, for online trading yesterday. According to a statement to the stock exchange today, the initial response
has been very encouraging and product orders have already been placed.
The U.S. Web site offers local supply and fulfilment through an agreement with Internet Fulfilment, a U.S. wholesaler of adult products.
AdultShop.com launched a German language Web site in September this year, and has since listed on the Berlin and Frankfurt stock exchanges.
The company listed in Australia in 1999 as the first “blue” company on the ASX. Like many dot-coms at the time, Adultshop.com made a backdoor listing via Western Minerals, a mining company which had acquired Internet rights to market and sell the Barbarellas range of products.
