AIG Expands Reach with ZonaFinanciera.com

Insurance giant American International Group Inc. (AIG) signed
a marketing deal with
ZonaFinanciera.com, a provider of
online financial services and information for Latin America.


The deal lets AIG expand its reach for online sales of auto and homeowners
insurance provided by AIG member companies in select Latin American countries.


The agreement will enable customers in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico,
Venezuela and Colombia to obtain quotes and apply for auto and homeowners
insurance online. Financial arrangements between the companies were not
disclosed. Online quotes and applications will be operational by the end the
first quarter, the companies said.


“This agreement furthers AIG’s commitment to capitalizing on electronic
commerce to enhance distribution, attract new customers and service existing
customers worldwide, “said Martin J. Sullivan, AIG executive vice president
for Foreign General Insurance.


AIG member companies write property, casualty, marine, life and financial
lines insurance in approximately 130 countries and jurisdictions.


Founded in 1997, ZonaFinanciera.com is a provider of online personal
financial products and services in Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic
market, Spain and Portugal.
