The burgeoning online real estate market’s latest
entry, announced today, involves AOL community guide Digital City, Inc., and AllApartments.com.
Under terms of the two-year agreement, AllApartments becomes a premier
provider of rental
listings in Digital City’s Real Estate/Rentals area, adding more than 5
million apartment
listings to Digital City’s comprehensive real estate resources. The
apartment guide will also be available on AOL through keyword: local real
estate.
Financial details were not disclosed. All Apartments.com is scheduled to be
available on Digital City by Oct. 1, 1998, said the companies.
In Digital City’s AllApartments area, users can search for apartments, free
of charge, based on several criteria
including price, number of bedrooms, location and over 20 amenities.
“We’re pleased to offer Digital City users an enhanced real estate resource
with the addition of AllApartments extensive apartment listings,” said Paul
DeBenedictis, President of Digital City, Inc. “Digital City usage is at an
all-time high and we continue to build a one-of-a-kind local content
resource that’s of great value to both consumers and advertisers.”
Also announced today, Microsoft’s HomeAdvisor real estate site signed an
agreement with InfoSpace to provide loan information for prospective home
buyers on the InfoSpace site.
