Arrowhead Wins Largest Small Business Procurement Contract in Defense

[Naples, Italy] — The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) named
Arrowhead Space & Telecommunications, Inc., (www.arrowheadsat.com) a winner of the largest defense contract ever awareded to a small business for
set-aside procurement. The contract, known as the Defense Satellite
Transmission Service – Global (DSTS-G), is valued at $2.1 billion over a
10-year period.

“The contract will offer a wide range of bandwidth and telecommunication
services for air, sea and land,” Arrowhead’s President and CEO Mary Ann
Elliott, told Internetnews.com.

“Under the terms of the contract, Arrowhead
will provide global fixed and mobile satellite services for all government
agencies that need satellite bandwidth and related satellite-based hardware,
services and applications. Engineering support, licensing, and host nation
approvals along with other ancillary services are covered under this
contract. These capabilities will enable the Department of Defense to meet
commercial satellite communication needs on a global basis.”

Arrowhead was one of three firms selected for this important
telecommunications contract, which was announced by Lieutenant General
Raduege, Director of DISA, and Mr. Bob Neal, Director of DOD Small and
Disadvantaged Business Utilization (SADBU) Executive Office.

Among the services provided under the DSTS-G contract are multiple bandwidth
suppliers and terminal sources, tracking solutions, two-way messaging,
wireless solutions, distance learning, video teleconferencing, telemedicine,
multi-band feed horn, aeronautical terminals, DAMA and bandwidth on
demand.

military’s end-users.” For this effort Arrowhead assembled an alliance of
over 30 leading space industry firms that will offer a full range of
products and services.

Naples, Italy.
